In this month’s blog post below we will discuss 3 of our favorite injectables that are considered anti-inflammatory and anti-aging products.
NAD
NAD is without a doubt one of the most popular and widely used anti-aging products on the market today!
NAD is short for “Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide”. It is a coenzyme or “helper” biochemical that is found in all living cells. It plays a vital role in metabolism and cellular repair. NAD is essential for the proper functioning of all cells and tissues and is present in all humans but decreases significantly as we age.
More specifically, NAD directly and indirectly influences cellular functions, including metabolic pathways, DNA repair, and immune functions. It is therefore promoted as being anti-inflammatory and anti-aging.
As we age, there is a gradual decline in NAD in our bodies. This decline has been linked to diseases such as cognitive demise and adverse brain health, cancer, and metabolic diseases such as thyroid disease, diabetes, obesity, and heart disease. NAD deficiency was first discovered in 1937 but has only begun to take hold in the medical community as being linked to general inflammatory disease with its supplementation being crucial to overall health and wellbeing.
NAD could be the game changer when it comes to slowing or even reversing age-related diseases.
We like the injectable NAD product from Empower Compounding Pharmacy. The product is “clean” and comes in 1000mg per bottle. It’s processed in a powder form but then needs to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. It is injected with small needles 2 – 3 times per week at 0.2-0.5 cc (20-50 units) subcutaneously (just under the skin) in the abdominal belly fat. That equates to 20 – 50 mg per injection.
We also offer NAD in IV form (intravenous), which can be done in our office. The usual dose for this IV is 250mg per bag of solution – and is a lot of NAD and quickly and directly circulates into the bloodstream. We have many patients who do this IV therapy once a week or once every 2 weeks as a general anti-aging protocol. Contact us at admin@mydrfreeze.com for more information.
Sermorelin
Sermorelin is an injectable biochemical that is compounded to stimulate the production of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). HGH is a natural hormone produced in the pituitary gland and is responsible for cellular growth, tissue repair, and overall health. For women (and men), sermorelin stimulates the repair of skin cells reducing the signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines and smoothing the skin.
Further, Sermorelin can boost energy levels and metabolism, and help fight fatigue so that you can get through the day and partake in more activity and exercise – which ultimately aids in weight loss. It has been linked to improved mood stability, balancing hormonal functions, and fighting depression and insomnia. Increased strength and bone density has been noted which is important for those with muscle weakness, arthritis, and joint pain.
Sermorelin comes in a powder form and needs to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. It is injected into abdominal belly fat 5 nights a week at night time with 2 days off. It may take several months before beneficial effects are noted.

Glutathione
Glutathione is a naturally occurring biochemical produced in the liver. It is a potent antioxidant that protects the body from free radical damage. Free radicals are damaging molecules to DNA that are produced during normal cellular metabolism and in response to daily life activities including stress, lack of sleep, alcohol, poor diet, and nutrition. Free radical damage can contribute to early aging and inflammation causing disease.
Glutathione production in our bodies can slow as the liver becomes “toxified” over time. The liver is a prime detoxification organ and years of “living” can be harmful to the liver causing glutathione production to decrease.
Supplementing with injectable glutathione can boost cellular glutathione levels significantly. Healthy glutathione levels have been correlated to the following: increased immune function, support Parkinson’s/Alzheimer’s disease, increased energy and positive mood, increased athletic performance and muscle strength, increased blood circulation in diabetics, increased wound healing and tissue repair, increased skin repair including better skin tone and decreased wrinkles, healing artery plaque and heart disease….and lastly…acts as a “detoxification” agent.
Glutathione must be refrigerated and injected at 0.2-0.5 cc into abdominal belly fat 1-3 times a week. At FreezeWellness, we also offer IV Glutathione with several other antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Zink, Selenium, B Vitamins, and more….
